31 Weeks

How far along: 31 weeks
Gender: Surprise! (Feeling a little less sure about the "girl" thing.)
Weight gain: 38 lbs
Maternity clothes: Yes. But to be honest, I just love to take my clothes off more than put them on these days.
Stretch marks: Ever-increasing and deepening.
Belly button in or out: Still trying to pop
Sleep: A couple nights have been better! Joe said I was snoring two nights ago. Only one bathroom break per night the last two nights.
Best moment this week: Feeling baby's heels around my belly button. Joe and Sarah felt it too! Also, wrapping up work for Revive. Only 3 weeks left to work and teach. Also, taking garlic 3x per day (and almost no sugars) seems to be clearing up the infection!!!
Worst moment this week: My insides hurting and indigestion at times. Some emotional blah.
Miss anything: Not constantly thinking about if what I'm eating will cause discomfort, how to go to the bathroom, rolling over in bed without thinking, not losing my breath. . .
Movement: HUGE movements. The last week or so I can totally tell the baby is gaining half a pound per week. It's about 3.5 lbs now and 18"!
Cravings: ICY EVERYTHING. I keep forgetting to mention that. I want crushed ice in every drink. Too bad we don't have an ice maker in our fridge. :(
Queasy or sick: A little wonky feeling, gagged one day, aching intestines, indigestion, etc. Side note: it's really hard when people ask if I'm feeling sick anymore, because no, I'm not dealing with morning sickness. But somehow ALL the other things I'm dealing with are not socially acceptable to mention. "No, I'm not sick to my stomach... but I can't go to the bathroom, I have a vaginal infection, my intestines hurt, etc." Yeah, not really what I should say.
Looking forward to: Holding baby!

30 Weeks

How far along: 30 weeks
Gender: Surprise!
Weight gain: 39 lbs
Maternity clothes: One more Kohl's top! Again, non-maternity, but it's for after as well. Blush pink lace henley. Soooo comfy.
Stretch marks: Don't remind me.
Belly button in or out: Well, it pops out more when the baby's heel is in it.
Sleep: Let's not talk about it. SUCH a rough week of insomnia, discomfort, slight allergies, heartburn and indigestion. Ouch.
Best moment this week: 30-week prenatal! Baby flipped right before the check-up from anterior on the left (I was so happy!) to anterior on the right (that stinker). Doran said I don't look huge and I'm measuring 29 weeks still (just like at 28 weeks).
Worst moment this week: Heartburn and indigestion paired with insomnia. Night after night.
Miss anything: Swallowing food without pain.
Movement: Little bubs is rolly-polly-olly and can't decide where to land. Crooked, right side, left side, on my bladder, up in my stomach. . . Oof.
Cravings: Homemade dark chocolate with peanut butter! I couldn't find 100% cacao bars, so I didn't make any this week. :( Milk has become my new best friend. I drank a whole gallon myself in about 2 days.
Queasy or sick: Heartburn and indigestion.
Looking forward to: My insides not constantly moving. And nursing our baby. <3

29 Weeks

How far along: 29 weeks
Gender: Surprise!
Weight gain: 38 lbs
Maternity clothes: I picked up two Lauren Conrad polka-dot baby doll tops (XL) that I hope to wear after baby is born too. Starting to think about nursing. (Kohl's gift card!)
Stretch marks: All the way around, getting bigger.
Belly button in or out: Out, but all around it is dipped in... kind of funny looking.
Sleep: Some nights I sleep like a baby (between bathroom breaks), but they're getting fewer.
Best moment this week: Date night with my bubs. Met him in Sterling, VA for dinner (gift card again!), ran into Starbucks in the rain (another gift card!) and went to see his co-worker's church play.
Worst moment this week: Feeling that 3rd trimester discomfort coming on fast. Still fighting this infection on and off.
Miss anything: Mobility.
Movement: Movements are getting much bigger. At the church play, the music was super loud and baby was cruising.
Cravings: Still loving citrus, but holding back on those natural sugars.
Queasy or sick: Yucky sometimes, infection, and one day of nausea.
Looking forward to: Using one of our baby names we've chosen!

28 Weeks

How far along: 28 weeks
Gender: Surprise! (Still think it's a girl.)
Weight gain: 37 lbs
Maternity clothes: Warmer weather = NO TIGHTS! Maxi skirts and my new huge green comfy pants at home.
Stretch marks: Purple and deeper.
Belly button in or out: Top is popped!
Sleep: Sleepless early mornings and naps until late morning. My days start so late.
Best moment this week: Feeling baby's foot under my hand. Frozen yogurt.
Worst moment this week: Cheating on my less sugar diet and infection came back. Yuck!
Miss anything: Sweetened Starbucks drinks.
Movement: Big kicks beside my belly button (so sharp!) and this funny "fluttery" feeling for about 10-20 seconds once a day, like a puppy dreaming. :)
Cravings: Caramel Macchiato.
Queasy or sick: Headache. Allergies making breathing tough at night. AND cardiovascular strangeness that makes my chest vibrate and teeth tickle. Doran says it's normal. Heartburn for the first time. No fun.

Looking forward to: Did I mention a Caramel Macchiato?

Half-pop!

27 Weeks

How far along: 27 weeks
Gender: Surprise!
Weight gain: 35 lbs
Maternity clothes: Give me the stretchy stuff
Stretch marks: Yes. "Tiger stripes" are ringing around my hips and front.
Belly button in or out: Top is popped. It's a stubborn button.
Sleep: Rough. Waking up 4:30 AM-8 AM most mornings.
Best moment this week: Infection cleared up! Date night with my hubby. We played hooky from childbirth class and walked to Mario's.
Worst moment this week: Exhaustion almost every day.
Miss anything: My former body.
Movement: Seeing my belly move with even the tiny movements. Baby still hasn't decided where he/she wants to live, so I'm dealing with a floppy-floppy baby.
Cravings: Chocolate and peanut butter. All times.
Queasy or sick: No, just fatigued.

Looking forward to: Getting this baby out!

Knitting the girly blanket. I have a feeling I won't get around to the boy one. ;)
